- 1 1/2 lbs Ground beef (80/20 for flavor)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (plain or italian)
- 1 Onion small, finely chopped
- 2 Cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 Eggs large
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Thyme or Italian seasonings
- For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Mustard Dijon or yellow
Preheat OvenPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. Prepare the MixtureIn a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix gently with your hands or a spoon until just combined — don’t overmix or it can make the meatloaf dense. Shape and TransferForm the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in the prepared pan (or on a foil-lined baking sheet). Make the GlazeIn a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread half of the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf. BakeBake uncovered for 45 minutes, then spread the remaining glaze on top. Continue baking for another 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Rest and ServeRemove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps retain its juices.
