Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz Spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tsp Garlic minced
  • 1 can Tomatoes 28 oz, crushed
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp Basil dried
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano dried
  • 1/4 cup Pasta water reserved
  • Salt + black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Boil spaghetti to firm al dente, drain, and reserve ¼ cup pasta water.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, let darken slightly.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt + pepper.
  5. Simmer 8–10 minutes until thick and glossy.
  6. Toss spaghetti into the sauce, and add pasta water if needed to coat.
  7. Serve warm, season again lightly with black pepper.
